Our CAD design facilities include SolidWorks, AutoCad, and AutoSketch, and LVS welcomes drawings in CATIA, dxf, dwg, iges, sldprt, etc.
The fitting of tools to LVS’s machines — and providing samples, complete with an Initial Sample Inspection Report (ISIR) — is supplied free of charge to the customer.
To complement the design team LVS employs project engineers to manage your project through from design stage into start of production. Utilising such tools as Advanced Production Quality Planning (APQP) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
LVS offers different options for tooling that best suit the particular application, whether this is done in the in-house tool room, using local qualified Toolmakers or our partner company in China. All maintenance of the moulds is done in a TPM programme by the LVS tool maintenance team
LVS has vast experience in handling transfer tooling, whether from other UK suppliers or other countries. We have been involved in large scale transfers, for example to support clients when their previous supplier has ceased trading. We carefully manage tooling transfer, using detailed timing plans to minimise disruption to the supply chain.
