LVS Small Plastic Parts are delighted and extremely proud to announce that they have successfully achieved IATF 16949 certification.
IATF 16949:2016 is the latest International Standard for Automotive Quality Management Systems. It brings together the main automotive quality systems used by different countries under a single universal standard. As some larger OEMs have divisions in a number of countries, this is a major improvement.
This certification demonstrates that the company meets the manufacturing standards and adheres to stringent quality requirements:
- Provide service and products that meet customers’ requirements
- Meet applicable statutory and regulatory requirements
- Enhance customer satisfaction through effective application of the system
The external audit was conducted by BSI Group and covers the manufacturing and assembly of thermoplastic injection mouldings. This includes process improvement and assurance of conformity to the customer.
Business Development Manager Charles Carter commented,
“The team at LVS Small Plastic Parts Ltd are very proud of this achievement which has been obtained through continuous commitment to quality and process in all areas of the business.
“LVS have been working with ISO 9001 for many years, as well as being regularly assessed by our major automotive customers to standards relevant to their country of origin, including VDA6.3. Achieving certification to IATF 16949 now allows us to be recognised internationally as a ‘world class’ automotive supplier.
“The systems put into place allow us to achieve best practice when developing, manufacturing and assisting in design of plastic components, for all of our customers. The standard will also perpetuate a culture of continual improvement within all of our departments.”
Rob Brown, Global Product Champion for Automotive at BSI said: “LVS SPP should be delighted that it’s achieved certification to IATF 16949, which demonstrates the team’s commitment to quality products and services throughout the supply chain.
“Implementing this standard will bring huge benefits including mitigating risk, improving opportunity management and enhancing organisational resilience.”
